search strings

June, 2002 — Close to ninety (90) percent of users visiting linqx.dk first time are referred to this site from the google search engine. Secondary search engines are yahoo, alltheweb and Danish jubii.

From the main Webalizer stats, stats generated by my special theCounter subscription and the logfiles I have drawn the following list of most popular search strings.

Furhter, stats are also counted by the free Peak Counter service added to this site as of August 2002. An overview of this is included at the end of this document, in the form that is has been delivered by Peak.

Not included in the list are search strings which I deem irrelevant. The best example is the numerous visits I get because of a link to Windows Commandor (a ftp), which apparently many users can't find since the link is misleadingly hidden under ghisler.com.
