International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE)
Siden da har det været organisations mål at "promote open and distance education, along with associated goals for flexible learning, training, continuing education, community education and adult education, throughout the world"!
"With our new commercial services, we help clients access, understand and penetrate this market".
Her får du et overblik over den historiske udvikling indenfor feltet.
Lektor Jørgen Bang, formand for Det Rektorale udvalg vedr.

Proacte
linqx.dk var en overgang optaget :-) i proacte's link samling (other links related to Education and Training), men webmaster må desværre konstatere, at det per februar 2002 ikke længere er tilfældet :-(
Proacte er "PROACTe is a service to communicate work funded by the European Union under the Education Area of the Information Society (IST) Programme."

Prometeus
PROMETEUS is an open initiative launched in March 1999 under the sponsorship of the European Commission with the aim of building a Common Approach to the Production and Provision of e-learning Technologies and Content in Europe.
PROMETEUS is an expert opinion-making forum where actors from a wide range of professional, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, come together to build critical mass in the field of educational technology and applications.
The complementary expertise of the PROMETEUS Signatories is brought together in the aim to bridging the gap between research and actual use of learning technologies, content and services.

Centre for Educational Research and Innovation
This is another official site. Learn more
about "the Partnership Challenge", the "new learning
economy" and much more. However, DO NOT rely on their linqx to
"Knowledge and Learning" - the page is (August 2001)
EMPTY!

The official European eLearning Summit homepage
Find out what "250 invited leaders from
EU governments, the education and training sector, and a broad
representation of companies delivering eLearning services in
Europe" has managed to establish - I like the site and
recommend it.
